Presentation Guideline

Oral Presentation Guideline

As the conference is around the corner, we would like to, once again, express our appreciation for your contributions towards the IMID 2017. Regarding your presentation, please kindly find the presentation instruction and other detailed information prepared for you.

Session Information

Please kindly check the date and time of your presentation session through the Final Program. Please note that the Final Program contains details of all sessions and speakers.

I) Presentation Time

  1. Invited Talk: 20 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for Q&A
  2. Oral Talk: 10 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for Q&A
  3. In order to keep the sessions running to the set schedule and to allow possible questions from the audience, it is very important to keep presentation within the allocated time.

Oral Presentation

  • The authors of papers accepted for oral presentation are asked to bring Power Point (or PDF) slides and present their research in a podium presentation.
  • We will prepare a computer for presentation, and authors are encouraged to use the conference computer for presentation, to avoid wasting time switching between personal laptops.
  • To avoid software compatibility problems (MS Power Point), speakers are advised to save their Power Point presentation on a USB memory stick. AND bring a backup version of their presentation.
  • Files should be uploaded to the local PCs in the session room during the breaks between the sessions.
  • Speakers should arrive in the session room 15 minutes BEFORE the start of their sessions to report to the session chair. A proctor will also be available in case you need technical assistance.

Poster Presentation Guideline

  • Date & Time:
    Poster Session I: August 29 (Tue.), 2017 / 14:00 ~ 15:30
    Poster Session II: August 31 (Thu.), 2017 / 14:00 ~ 15:30
  • Location: # 301, BEXCO
  • Poster Panel Size: 1.0m in width and 2.5m in height.
  • The poster board is self-standing.
  • Each paper’s code will be shown on the board.
  • Scotch tape will be provided for your use.
  • Use of double-sided tape is prohibited.
  • All presenters are required to preside at their poster panel during the session time (Poster presentation Ⅰ, Ⅱ).
  • During the session for anticipated discussion with participants.
  • Poster authors are responsible for creating, preparing, and transporting posters to the conference.
  • Each poster should indicate the paper title, authors, affiliation, and paper number and must fit within a 0.9m x 1.5m space.

Session Chair Guideline

  • Please be present in your assigned room at least 10 minutes before the start of your session to introduce yourself to the speakers in your session. Please kindly read the material before starting the session.
  • As participants may have planned to attend specific presentations, please kindly keep the presentation as scheduled. Each speaker shall be advised of his responsibility to stay on schedule at the beginning of the session.
  • At the beginning of the session, please kindly;
    1. Ask participants to turn off their cell phones.
    2. Inform that photograph is not permitted to be taken within the session rooms.
  • Regarding Introductory Remarks, participants may be interested in a brief summary of the research, design, and development presented. Also, comments could include short statements on academic honors and degrees which may be of interest.
  • Q&A will be conducted for some minutes (Invited: 5 min. / Oral: 5 min.) for each presentation. After the presentation, please inform the participants that the questioner is to raise their hands for delivering the microphone.
